Born Again by Water and Spirit: The Path to True Faith

In a stirring sermon, Pastor Anthony Hall delivered a powerful message about the life-changing power of true baptism. Baptism is not just a formality, it’s a public declaration of faith and a life-changing commitment. Pastor Anthony Hall called believers to fully embrace the act of baptism, stressing that it’s a symbolic and powerful step to align oneself with Jesus Christ. He encouraged attendees to seek not just “a little water on the forehead” but to experience full immersion, as the Bible teaches. Pastor Hall reminded his listeners that this sacred act isn’t something to take lightly or delay; it’s a direct response to the gospel’s call.
For many, baptism represents rebirth—a second chance. But not all baptisms are biblical, and believers who have undergone sprinkling or other rites not based on immersion were urged to take the step of re-baptism. Quoting Scripture, Pastor Hall explained how believers are called to be “born of water and spirit,” setting aside former ways of life and taking on a new one aligned with God’s teachings. This coming Sabbath will see many answer the call to be baptized again, affirming their commitment to a life of faith, transformation, and truth.

Jesus Shows Us the Way

Jesus’ baptism in the Jordan River wasn’t just for show—it was a powerful model for us to follow. Though sinless and without need of repentance, He willingly stepped into the same waters that others did, demonstrating His complete identification with humanity and emphasizing the importance of baptism. By doing so, Jesus highlighted that this step is more than just a ritual; it signifies the commitment to spiritual renewal and rebirth.
This act also underscored that being born again is not just a suggestion, but a serious declaration of faith and obedience. When Jesus emerged from the water and the heavens opened with God’s affirmation, it was a profound moment showing that baptism carries divine approval and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Through His example, Jesus invited us to follow Him, embracing the new life that comes from surrendering and walking in God’s will.

When New Truths Come to Light

As we grow, God reveals truths to us that may shake up what we thought we knew. Pastor’s sermon reminded us that when we receive this new understanding, we may need to be baptized again to signal our shift and commitment to following God’s truth fully.

Why Age Matters for Baptism

Babies cannot understand what they’re being baptized for, but when we’re older, we can truly grasp what it means. Pastor stressed that baptism is for those who know they’re sinners and want Jesus’ saving grace. Once we reach that point, we’re ready to make the choice ourselves.

No Going Back!

Once we commit, there’s no turning back to old ways. When we come up from the water, we’re new. Pastor reminded us that our commitment to Christ means living differently, so the world knows who we serve

If God’s been calling you, it’s time to answer. Delay is dangerous, and tomorrow isn’t promised. When God’s Spirit calls us to be baptized, it’s an invitation we can’t put off—because now is the time of salvation

Change Ya Life, Change Ya Ways

When you come to God through baptism, you’re choosing a new way of life. It’s not just about going down in the water; it’s about letting that water wash away the old you.

Knock, Knock, The Holy Spirit is Calling You to be Baptized

Baptism isn’t just about the water
it’s about the Spirit too. Being baptized means we welcome the Holy Spirit to live in us, guiding us, comforting us, and empowering us to live a life that honors God’s Word daily.

Born Again to Live in Faith

Each of us must decide to go under the water and come up renewed, as a testimony of God’s transforming grace.

Obedience Over Convenience

Some may say, “Well, a little sprinkle should do.” But as the Pastor reminded, God’s Word says immersion. We can’t change God’s instruction for our comfort. Baptism by immersion is a choice to obey God fully, just as He asks of us.

When Pastor says it’s time for full immersion and not just a sprinkle: ‘Say less, I’m in.’ 💧

Are you ready to surrender fully to God?

Baptism has a profound significance in our Christian faith. It is not just a tradition or an afterthought; it is a critical part of your spiritual journey, a symbol of the transformation that takes place when you decide to follow Christ. Whether you’ve been baptized before or are considering baptism for the first time, it’s important to understand its true meaning — as an act of obedience, a declaration of faith, and a commitment to live according to God’s word.
For those who have yet to make the decision, this is your moment to act. Don’t wait. As the preacher so passionately declared, “Today is the day of salvation.” Take the step of faith, be baptized by immersion, and begin your new life in Christ.

Baptism is a new beginning, a fresh start. It’s a signal to the world that you have chosen to follow Jesus and to live according to His truth.
Don’t let the opportunity pass you by. Come forward, commit your life to Jesus, and experience the transformation that only He can bring. Now is the time — don’t delay your decision to be born again in the waters of baptism. If God has been moving in your heart, don’t wait. Step forward, and let this Sabbath be the start of a new life in Christ.
